Wild About Argyll — Film 1

Wild About Argyll positioned Argyll and the Isles as Scotland’s adventure coast — a region of sea kayaking, mountain biking, climbing and wild swimming set against the Atlantic seaboard. Morrocco Media was commissioned by Argyll and the Isles Tourism Co-operative to produce a series of films that captured that energy without resorting to the generic language of destination marketing.

This first film establishes the tone for the whole campaign: fast, physical and rooted in real Argyll locations from the Cowal peninsula to the islands. We filmed across multiple shoot days, combining ground-level action cinematography with aerial footage to give the region the cinematic scale it deserves.

The Wild About Argyll series became one of the most recognisable Scottish adventure tourism campaigns of its period and remains a reference point for how a regional destination can build an identity around the outdoors.
